LOCAL TRAINING INITIATIVE
YWI Laois are proud to deliver this Local Training Initiative (LTI) here in Portlaoise.
Aims:
The overall aim of the LTI programme is to assist unemployed people, not otherwise catered for through other LOETB interventions, to move towards employment by providing community-based training and work experience leading to nationally recognised qualifications.
What is it?
LTI is a community-based training programme targeted at 16-25 year olds who are economically, socially, geographically or educationally disadvantaged.
How it works
YWI Laois through their LTI programme in partnership with LOETB, will engage an LTI Co-Ordinator to set up, develop and implement an educational training course help and support young people to advance their learning and employment opportunities.
LTI Co-Ordinator
Our LTI Co-Ordinator will guide and support participants to identify needs and learning opportunities and will deliver these to QQI Accreditation standards.
Consult with learners, YWI Laois, LOETB to achieve best outcomes
Guide and support learners to identify needs and objectives
Identify QQI Accreditation opportunities
Design and deliver appropriate modules
Evaluate and assess modules
Facilitate learners to pursue & achieve QQI qualifications
